Open for Business Near Essex on the Park: South Loop Market
Essex on the Park is close to pretty much everything you need in Chicago, including four transit stations (all within steps of the door) and South Loop Market! South Loop Market is easy to get to, either driving down South Michigan Avenue and East 11th Street or walking across East 9th Street; either route takes less than five minutes.
The South Loop Market was created by two brothers in 2009 who were tired of crowded big-box grocery stores, so they created smaller more intimate groceries for neighborhoods. They offer a variety of grocery staples, unique specialty items, organic and natural products, Boar’s Head–brand deli meats and cheese, and fresh daily produce. A unique aspect of this grocery store is its Wine, Beer, and Spirits section with hundreds of local and international vintages and over 300 different beers. Stop by their sandwich shop for fresh bread and everything’s made to order for a great refreshing lunch (or dinner).
Drop by between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays, 7 a.m. and 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Sundays for all your grocery needs.
